Before the Second World War a young Italian man, Cosmo Nesci, traveled from his hometown in Calabria to settle in Perth (Western Australia), where he purchased 1000 acres of rugged bushland in Lower Chittering. There he and his family initially farmed Hereford cows.  Over the years, three generations of Nesci’s developed this beautiful property to become the Nesci Wine Farm Estate that you know today.  

In 1948 it was Cosmos’s eighteen-year-old son Antonio, who planted some of the first vines in the Chittering area.  Antonio and his wife, Carmela, were strong resourceful people who cleared the land by hand. Together, they planted and tendered the vines that yield some of the best wine-making grapes in the region.

Kevin, the son of Antonio and Carmela, was born and raised on the property and worked alongside his parents from a very young age. After finishing his trade in 1983, he continued the Nesci tradition of hard work by managing the 500-acre estate, farming silver-grey cattle, and thriving winemaking. Kevin has grown the vineyard to include 60-acres of vines, and in the late eighties, established the Nesci Estate Wine Farm Cellar Door where he continues to sell a range of the Nesci delicious wines, ports, and liqueurs made from more than a dozen grape varieties grown in the best grape growing soils. 

With his team, Kevin hosts a variety of special events, performances, weddings, and corporate functions on this hidden gem that stands as a beacon of timeless sophistication, crafting moments that honour our past, embrace the future, and love each moment on Nesci Estate Wine Farm.
